Texas-based mythological occult metal outfit Absu has announced the addition of bassist/co-vocalist Ezezu (ex-Panzram) to the group's ranks. This is the first time the band is experiencing a permanent quartet-type line up since the band’s debut album “Barathrum: V.I.T.R.I.O.L.” Drummer/vocalist Proscriptor says of the latest addition, "We are very proud to welcome Ezezu as the newest member of Absu. He was the missing element we have been searching for and definitely fits in the group. We are delighted to convey our next chapter of mythological occult metal with him."
Absu has just completed the recording of their latest album, “Absu” to be released in the beginning of 2009 on Candlelight Records. The album was more or less engineered by the band, mixed by none other than J.T. Longoria at Nomad Recording Studio (King Diamond, Solitude Aeternus) and will be mastered by Proscriptor at his studio Tarot Productions.

Finnish Rock’n’Troll stalwarts KIVIMETSÄN DRUIDI have premiered their new video clip for “Jäässä Varttunut” today:




The song comes off the band’s debut album “Shadowheart”, which has just been released via Century Media Records in Europe (US release date: November 25th, 2008) and the medieval, fantastic atmosphere of Kivimetsän Druidi’s unique sound is perfectly captured in the clip.

Kivimetsän Druidi will perform a European live premiere of “Shadowheart” on November 1st, 2008 at Ultima Ratio Festival in Oberhausen, Germany followed by a massive European tour in November / December ’08 with Korpiklaani, Battlelore and Falchion. See below for the exact dates:

Deadlock have just finished the video shoot for the song "The Brave/ Agony Applause", taken from their upcoming album "Manifesto", together with director Philipp Hirsch (Heaven Shall Burn, Amon Amarth, Disillusion). The clip will be premiered by the beginning of November. The band has also confirmed their record release show to be held on November 15th at Gloria in Regensburg. Special guests at the evening will be Anima and Myra.

This time we took completely opposite artistic approach…we went black and white, absolutely no effects, analogue film tape…and something we’re doing for the first time ever: acting. Trailer for Black metal legends Dark Funeral´s second, in a series of two DVD´s, featuring outstanding, killer material that was recorded during the band's worldwide touring for "Attera Totus Sanctus." The first DVD, "Attera Orbis Terrarum - Part 1," which landed on the Swedish DVD chart as number #5, focused on European shows. Part two [this DVD] focuses on South American shows, where the band has a fanatical following. And not only that, it also includes previously unreleased amateur footage shot during Dark Funeral´s enormously successful tours throughout North America (1997-2007) and South America (2003 & 2006).

Vader will appear on "Winterfest 2009" together with such demons as Deicide, Samael, Devian, Zonaria and guests. This will be the first opportunity to see the band live with their new line up!
